What:   Energy Codes..Now and To Be, Energy codes for lighting as relating to ASHRAE 90.1

Who:   Richard Heinisch, FIES, LC, LEED AP

Richard Heinisch graduated from the University of Arizona in 1972 with
a BS in Mathematics.  He became involved in the lighting business in
1974. Much of his career has been spent designing optical systems for
commercial and government projects, writing lighting related software
and developing other electronic tools for the lighting industry.  
He is currently the Manager of Energy and Environmental Standards for
Acuity Brands Lighting.
Richard’s current responsibilities include:
  • Acting as company liaison to a variety of groups including:
    • Sustainable Site Technical  Advisory Group of the USGBC (RE LEED)
    • Lighting Sub-committee of the ASHRAE 90.1 Standing Committee
    • Technical Review Council of the IES
    • International Code Council (RE IECC & IgCC)
 When:   Thursday November 12, 2009, 11:30 am
 Where:  Farm Credit Bank Basement, 245 N. Waco
 Cost:        $14.00
 Parking:    Members must park in the Church lot South of the bank.

Monthly Meeting

Well folks, were are just cramming in the meetings this fall, trying to bring you as much info as we can, and keep you hungry for more great ASHRAE programs.  Please see below for next week’s meeting!

 WHAT: Presentation on how energy recover wheels work, difference in wheel materials and their impacts, difference in wheel desiccants and impacts, energy savings for both sensible only and total (enthalpy) wheels, applications restrictions, energy code drivers.
